It is possible to replace missing teeth with fixed bridges.  The remaining teeth are trimmed to accommodate a structure linking them together.  This framework is bonded to the neighbouring teeth and has pontics (artificial teeth) replacing the missing teeth.  Flossing is slightly more challenging due to the splinting of teeth.  However, the prognosis of fixed bridges is excellent (over 10 years).
